Why
travel to Texas, North America?
Texas is
the second largest state in the USA, with plenty to explore from cowboys to oil wealth and nodding donkeys to space centres and big dishes, with a Mexican flavour to give the whole enchilada a little spice.
Beyond these overtly Texan bits there are also great outdoor recreational
possibilities.
On the downside the intense sun and blistering heat can flame grill unwary tourists to charcoal in the summertime with no difficulty.
When
to go to Texas: Best: April-June or September-October. OK: July-August tho' very hot.
Worst: December-February, rain and
snow, though coast usually OK.
