Why holiday in Florida?

Florida has a wonderful winter climate which is why it has a reputation for hosting 'snow bird' [old people] migrations in the cold season up north. Of course it does get hot and sticky in the summer, but there're plenty of fine, extensive beaches, clear water and cooling sea breezes to chill in.
Miami is an attractive, lively city with an exuberant night life, the Everglades National Park area is flat and buzzing with wildlife - most obviously mosquitoes - but appealing in a swampy way, while Florida's Orlando area is a must for families with its huge collection of theme parks and entertainments.
