America's Florida has a wonderful winter climate which is why it has a reputation for hosting 'snow bird' (retired people) migrations in the cold season up north. However the sea water is cold in winter and beaches bleak, strewn with flotsam and lacking any facilities, though great for bracing walks.
Of course Florida does get hot and sticky in the summer, but there're plenty of fine, white sand beaches, clear water and cooling sea breezes to chill in.

Miami is one of USA's most stylish and lively cities with an exuberant night life, while the Everglades National Park area is flat and buzzing with wildlife - most obviously mosquitoes - but appealing in a swampy, snappy way, while Florida's Orlando zone is a must for families with its huge collection of theme parks and kid-centric entertainments.
