Why holiday in Namibia?

Magnificent wildlife safaris, sensational desert landscapes, ancient rock carvings, oceans of spectacular sand dunes which you can climb, sandboard down, quad bike up and balloon over, with a primitive environment supplied with life's essentials (good beds and cold beer) at key points, and you have a truly fantastic wild destination.

There are calm and pleasant coastal towns - Swakopmund and Luderitz - sun that shines constantly (though interrupted by fog near the ocean) and 2,000 kilometres of beaches - unused except by a few tough surfers and 100,000 seals.

Distances between the prime attractions are lengthy and roads are frequently dirt so expect to spend a lot of time on 4 dirty wheels.
