Why holiday in Mauritius?

Mauritius' long cream beaches have been favoured by package beach people for years due to the warm waters embraced by coral reefs, the consistent sunshine and the competitive hotel pricing.

This is not a holiday island with many sights, apart from the odd volcano or Hindu shrine and cross-island traffic gets tangled in the Port Louis bottleneck but stick to the idea of a well-catered, comfortable beach holiday with fine sand, calm waters and a pleasant place to stay and you won't be disappointed.
