Not full of sights but one of Syria's prettiest villages, Maalula is a place of of little yellow and blue houses and the home of both a Christian miracle and a sacrifice and supports both a convent and monastery. Inhabited by many Greek Catholics Maalula is remarakable as one of the last places on earth where people still speak Aramaic, the language of Jesus.
