Paris is the world's most loved city - not just by the French but by visitors from all over the world.
To enjoy the city fully and understand it at least partially you have to travel the streets on foot. Although traffic interacts with pedestrians in a fairly brutal way on occasions, the sublime sights should entertain you sufficiently to overlook that aspect, but don't ignore French motorists too totally or you may find yourself enjoying the sights of a local A & E department instead.

The photos are divided into six sections:

General Paris - information summary and city overview, including the Louvre.

Versailles - the magnificent palace complex of Versailles in a southeast suburb [metro/train trip needed].

Latin Quarter walk - sights on the cosmopolitan Left Bank, aka the Latin Quarter, for multi cultural experiences.

Montmartre walk - sights in the high and arty north suburb community of Montmartre [metro trip needed].

Seine walk - sights on the bank of the River Seine and Les îles [the Islands] for the city's iconic attractions.

Marais walk - sights in the sophisticated Marais district for trends and art collections.
