France Val d'Isere Skiing

val d'isere

Images of France: Beaches | France | Biarritz | Cannes | Menton | Nice

Val d'lsère [pictured above], with altitudes ranging from 1850m to 3600m has been one of the world's top ski areas for decades. And with recent years' improvements including child care facilities and better staff attitudes, as well as technical upgrades and slope grooming, the resort is more popular than ever.
The good news is that its high altitude guarantees snow and there is a wide choice of everything, from pistes and runs to lessons and guides, from accommodation to restaurants and night life.
The bad news is crowds in high season, some lifts need modernization, restaurants on pistes are unimpressive, you'll probably need a bus to get to the slopes from your hotel and there are some really unattractive buildings around.
Val d'lsère is a part of Parc National de la Vanoise.
