Right in the centre of Plaka, Athen's #1 tourist area, at a junction of the city's most important pedestrianised street [Adrianou] are these helpful signs. Well, at least the numbers are understandable.
Moral: Athens travellers should learn at least some of the Greek alphabet before going. In Bugbog's opinion this will be of more use than learning to speak the language since many locals speak reasonable English.
