| Why
travel to Dallas - Fort Worth?
The Dallas area is hardly a touristic marvel but if you're in the area anyway this is the place so see the location surrounding the mysterious end of John F Kennedy,
for cowboy culture, guns and steak. Oh yes, and shop-till-you-drop nirvana.
Downsides:
- the streets are home to many lost souls.
- crime is no stranger here,
so don't wander alone at night and stick with the touristy places, such as Downtown's West End and North Dallas. Stay away from South Dallas at any time.
- summers are steaming hot.
Dallas climate:
Best: May-June or Sept-Oct.
Okay: winters, chilly but pleasant with occasional snow or summers if you are heat-tolerant.
Worst: March-April [rainy and infrequent but severe storms].
