Turkey Beaches
Aegean vs Mediterranean

Where is the boundary between the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea?
Is Bodrum in the Med or Aegean? What about Marmaris?

Answer: there is still no internationally agreed definition of the limits of the Aegean Sea, legally or politically, but it is a part of the Mediterranean Sea, covering about 10% of the Med's eastern area. It is shaped like an inverted U and bounded by Greece, in the west, north and south (follow the curve including Crete and Rhodes), and Turkey in the east.

Google, unusually, can't decide and puts both names on maps. Looks to us like Fethiye, Olu Deniz, Kas are in the Med but Blue Cruise boat owners based east of Marmaris almost certainly will insist that they sail the Aegean. It sounds a lot more romantic than the Mediterranean!
Whatever, the huge beach resorts of Antalya and Alanya are certainly in the Mediterranean.
